Constable David Hill began his law enforcement career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 1967. After serving a year and a half with the TDCJ, he, along with his brother Bill, were accepted into the Texas Department of Public Safety academy. After graduating from the Texas DPS academy as a Trooper in February 1969, he was stationed in Magnolia, Texas.  In 1982 he ran for and was elected as the Constable of Precinct 5 in Montgomery County. Constable Hill has served in law enforcement for the past 44 years. His tenure of 29 years is the longest of any currently elected official in Montgomery County.
