Montgomery County Library System
South Branch Library first opened in 1976, and its first designated building was completed in 1978. After this building was destroyed by arson in 1992, the branch continued to operate in a temporary space until a new construction could be completed. The South Regional Library you see today opened to the public in the summer of 1994 and serves more than 103,000 cardholders today.
