Office of Court Administration Director
Berenice Greathouse is the OCA Manager-Indigent Defense for the Office of Court Administration. She began working in 2003 for Montgomery County as an Assistant Appointment Designee for the Office of Indigent Defense. Ms. Greathouse has a degree in Political Science from the University of Houston. Ms. Greathouse is primarily responsible for coordinating and supervising Indigent Defense in compliance with the Fair Defense Act and scheduling court interpreters as required by all District Courts and County Courts.
Camara Walden is the OCA Manager-Court Administration for the Office of Court Administration. Camara assists with many duties within the Office of Court Administration and Indigent Defense, such as reports, invoice processing and website management. She began with OCA in February 2020. Prior to that, she worked as an administrative assistant at Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Montgomery ISD Police Department. Camara is a graduate of the LEMIT Leadership Inventory for Female Executives (LIFE) program. She enjoys a good Netflix binge but can also be found studying to further her education.
Elizabeth (Beth) Lacey is a Jail Liaison for the Office of Indigent Defense. She assists defendants in obtaining a court appointed attorney. She began with OID in May of 2020. Prior to that she worked at a police department in Arizona in Police Records, Administration, and as a 911 Dispatcher for police, fire, and EMS. Beth attended several classes and training with the FBI, Department of Public Safety, and the Association of Public Safety Commutations Officials (APCO). She loves taking long rides on her motorcycle and working in her fairy garden at home.
Julissa Valadez is a Jail Liaison for the Office of Indigent Defense. She has served in this role since 2011 and loves working for the County. Julissa is an active member of the community and was recognized in 2018 by Texas Familias Council with the Love in Action volunteerism award for helping families after Hurricane Harvey. Julissa is happily married, she and her husband have a total of 5 children. In her free time, she enjoys the beach, family gatherings, and spending time with her fur babies Holly and Harvey.
Maritza Garcia is the Court Coordinator for the Montgomery County Magistrate Judges. Maritza started working for the Office of Indigent Defense, as a Jail Liaison, in May 2014. Prior to that she worked for the Juvenile Department for 7yrs. She graduated in May with her Associates Degree and is pursuing a Political Science Degree. During her spare time, she loves being a mommy of two beautiful babies. She also enjoys watching Netflix if she has any time left.
Silvia Casas is a Jail Liaison for the Office of Indigent Defense. She began working for the Office of Indigent Defense in May 2020. She interviews defendants to determine if they qualify for court appointed counsel. In August 2019, Silvia received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Sam Houston State University. She cherishes the moments she spends with her family.
Tannya Badillo is a Jail Liaison for the Office of Indigent Defense. Prior to working for Montgomery County, she worked in Human resources for TDCJ. Tannya has obtained her Bachelors of Science in Health Care Administration from Sam Houston State University in December, 2020. She is also licensed as a Texas Cosmetologist and CNA, which she received right out of High school in 2015. In her spare time she enjoys doing hair and spending time with her family.
